JILL VAN NESS HAMILTON Former Las Vegas resident Jill Van Ness Hamilton, 67, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Renown Hospital in Reno. Jill was battling several cancers, including brain cancer, adrenal cancer, lung cancer and liver cancer. She was born in Miami, Dec., 1. 1943, to Frederick and Arlene Van Ness. Jill was a highly-accomplished model and actress in the 1960's and appeared in many magazine ads and album covers. She was married to Charles Hamilton for 34 years and raised their son, Scot in Lake Tahoe. They owned the Honda dealership, restaurants and other investments. After her divorce, she spent several years in Mexico, running a resort that she designed and helped to create, followed by a move to California, and then Las Vegas. She was a gifted astrologer, along with working as a producer and administrative assistant locally. She relocated in 2010 to Reno to be near family and her new grandson. She is survived by her son, Scot and his fiancee, Lakaysa; her grandson, Rocco; her sister, Draylyn of Oregon; brother, Rick and his wife, Rebecca of New Mexico; along with nieces, Vanessa and Grace.
